The 7′ Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) began flickering constantly in January 2025 then stopped turning on altogether in May 2025. A similar issue led to safety recalls for Jeep Gladiators and Wranglers with 3.5′ IPCs. This is much more concerning for owners with 7′ IPCs, as these versions do not have analog temperature and fuel gauges. A dealership (Bayside King George, VA) first observed the flickering when test driving the vehicle after performing the last safety recall. I have not brought the vehicle back since the display stopped turning on because dealerships regularly charge ~$2,000 and hold the vehicle for an extended period to fix this with a replacement IPC. Losing the digital speedometer and ability to observe what speed the cruise control is set to, fluid temperatures, tire pressure, and battery voltage is very concerning, and it is puzzling why Jeeps with 7′ IPCs, which are harmed more due to this fault, were excluded from this recall. While searching forums about this issue, it was apparent that this was a widespread issue for Wranglers and Gladiators with 7′ IPCs.
