July of 2023, lifters failed on left side of engine. Lifters replaced and cam shaft replaced. January 2025, lifters failed on right side of engine. Replaced. March 2025. Engine seized on interstate. Truck lost all power while driving, no warning signs prior. Dealership has no rental vehicles and we are not old enough to rent from a third party company so family had to drive 9 hours to our location so we wouldnt be stranded. Three times this truck has failed us. GM is putting in a new motor as its still under warranty, but the new motor has no additional warranty. So basically this new motor will be warrantied for less than 7k miles. They cannot say if the new motor has the remanufactured lifters or not. So we could be facing the same exact issues. Cant ever get ahold of anyone directly though GM.
